I look around me at my country (America) and I don't like what I see. I am a student of history and I see us heading down a road that others have traveled before us. And that road does not lead to a good place.
There was a time in my life when I would have stood and fought to preserve my freedom, even if it was suicidal to do so. That was years ago when I was single. I now have a wife and a child, and I have to think about them too. There are times when I think that I have to get them out of this country to a place where I know they will be safe, relatively speaking of course.
I guess my quesion is, does anyone else feel this way, or am I just being paranoid? I guess I'm just looking for a reality check here.
