Sex, Drugs, and Bob Dole.

The other night I was watching the news and they reported that medicare will soon cover the cost of those sex enhancement drugs such as Prozac which Bob Dole is famous for advertising, it was reported that the medicare coverage will cost an estimated 2 Billion bucks each year, from you taxpayers.

At first I did not think much about it but as time passed that story stuck in my mind so I thought I would post something about it, but do not recall now which news channel I was watching at the time of that report.

These drugs are not really for medical reasons but help old men get it up so they can have recreational (and no doubt non-reproductive) sex. They advertise this will make their wife happy. But here is what I think, I think they will make a lot of young prostitutes happy once they get those pills cheaply and that will be a big boost economically into the billions for that industry. Meaning the taxpayers will be supporting that business in a around-about way, as the old folks head for Nev. The prostitutes make earn enough to start their own powerful lobby group in Washington and by claiming that doctors report that an active sex life will cause you to live longer they could get that "treatment" covered also under medicare, being that most poltical people are over the hill.

There is one draw back to the drugs however and that is that they can drian the blood vessels in the eyes causing blindness. Which gives new meaning to the term "blind love". However they do not feel that occational blindness is reason enough to withdraw the expensive and popular drugs from the shelf.
But they might post a warning on the lable to "talk to your doctor first". Who perhaps gets somekind of kick-back for each subscription written.

Now I know I do not have a webpage on this particular topic to refer too but I honestly did see the report on TV. (the part about the postitutes was an educated guess on my part however).

If you find this topic of interest however, please make your comments. Is it worth two billion to the taxpayers to make sure grandpa can have sex?
