So many people resort to violence, because the self is the most important creature in the universe [ the god syndrome ]. It is this god syndrome , the self wanting to be the king of the castle at any cost, even to the cost of total self-destruction is why so many people resort to violence. The kings of this world have been deceived to think that the good can defeat the evil by surrendering to the rules of the evil one. You may not believe me that non-violence [ not even the threat of violence ] against violence does win, but not without cost. Do some research on the history of non-violent actions for change.
