I'd like your input on these questions, did Saul/St.Paul know Jesus as John knew Jesus? How does Saul/St.Paul fair on 'The Test of Knowing Jesus' according to John?

Merlin writes... Saul/St.Paul's doctrine says that Jesus died for our sins, but Jesus suffered and died because of the wicked. However I have not studied this aspect of the NT enough to provide reliable content on your question. I do know about sin and its implications.

Sin is destructive, a negative force in the universe, and was here, of course before Jesus in the flesh was.

God manifested himself in Jesus because god the spirit lies outside this universe, and his vision would be unrecognizable in its original form, hence Jesus, or god in the flesh.

Jesus died on the cross to stop the blood sacrifices and offered himself as the sacrifice. His spiritual law modified the laws of Moses in my opinion.

Jesus taught the spiritual law. The law of love. Love destroys sin. One cannot love themselves and their fellow man 100% and sin. The 100% figure is the goal and I think if any human attained that goal he/she would be taken to be with god without death.
