| You can never walk as Jesus walked. It is impossible, as he was perfect, and did not sin. We all sin, at one point or an other. We sin everyday, in my opinion. There is always something we do, like swear, or feel hatred, or cause emotional harm to an other, etc. We should do our best to keep to the ten commandments, but in the end, if we do not one day, but ask for forgiveness from God, we will be forgiven, and thus we will know Jesus, as John did in the way he talks about it. Thus, Paul did know Jesus, for he confessed his sins, and knew them to be wrong. Once one is at that stage, one can be considered to be walking alongside Jesus, i believe, and to be following His teachings if one is a Christian. I have not kept to the ten commandments all my life although i endeavour to do so. In the end though, i repent, and i know Jesus. Our slate is wiped clean, as some would say, when we confess to God our sins, or ask for forgiveness, but we are always sinful.
In the end i think that if we do our best to walk the path of Christ, and walk as he did, then we can be considered to know him...
