| I used to not believe in "fate" and all that but....
After my divorce and the steps leading to meeting my Fiance... I don't believe in fortuitious coincidences like that.
I found her profile online in a dating service... check it out, you tell me it was just luck:
I only had a profile and such because my friends urged me too, I'm a net geek and what better way to meet people then through a medium I love.
She wanted to take some personality test offered on said site but had no desire to have a profile up, but to take the quiz, she had too. So she put it up for shits and giggles.
She and I are both conservatives (in Maine no less) both military brats, both gamers, both avid fans of the same general movies and TV shows. And we are madly in love, had I not met her, guys... lemme tell ya, I was looking over the abyss of self destruction, and meeting her turned me from that.
After all of that... I believe fate plays a hand at times. Really trace your steps back from childhood to now, did you get where you are by mere chance, how many choices did you make were truly YOUR choices and how many were forced on you?
Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route? |
