Here's a radical theory: maybe by saying "I saw the plane hit the tower" he actually meant, "I saw the results of the plane hitting the tower." CNN had video of the attack almost a minute after the first plane hit.

This is just semantics. It's not a lie. You're so far convinced of your views, Legolas, that you can only see how he can be guilty of conspiracy.

Someone could say about a car hitting another car at an intersection: "Yeah, I saw the accident." This could mean that they saw the cars hit each other, or that they saw the cars after they had hit each other. It doesn't mean that they stole the stop sign and caused the cars to crash.
