| Why do people (for some odd reason usually Americans) have these silly misconceptions about what defines socialist countries? For example, I recall recently I was being lectured on the evils of socialist France. France, socialist?! You have got to be kidding, France is not and never has been a socialist country, and they have a mixed economy, just like the vast majority of western nations.
