Making poor decisions is related to pre-meditated criminal proceedings, but not exactly the same. =P

B'sides, the jet fuel was mostly expelled harmlessly in the air on the opposite side of the towers. The reinforced steel and concrete survived the initial blast, but their specifications rather hint that they couldn't take extended periods of burning - like when you set fire to nine stories of office equipment after stripping off the fireproofing with a giant guided missile...
